We very much expect them to be done this summer. So, we’ll simply say we are diligently working towards mass production and we are doing everything we can to get it to you as soon as possible. It’s really hard to predict - and for the amount of time, money and energy we’ve poured into HyperCube, we’d hate to screw it up at the end.Īccording to our manufacturing partners, they estimate that this project will be done next month, but, as we both know, these estimates haven’t been very accurate thus far. But, to be perfectly honest, we don’t know exactly how long this final stage of debugging and testing will take. With several fully functioning samples, it feels like we are so close to the end. ![]() Essentially we took on four projects (HyperCube, Power Cube, Speaker Base and LED Night Light) that all need to work perfectly together (or separately). We knew that HyperCube was ambitious but, over the course of this development, we’ve learned firsthand just how complicated this project is. We know that we underestimated the time that this product would take to make. So, as soon as we get these all taken care of, we’ll be able to complete the remaining molds and begin mass production. The good news is that these are relatively minor changes (in the grand scheme). Finally, we are adding the ability to turn the digital display completely off - so you can sleep in total darkness. We are adding an indicator light showing that the snooze is in-effect.At the same time, we also adjusted how the fade-in functions (making the default time period both shorter and more gradual). We are adjusting the controls a bit so it is easier to set a light-only option. The default was sound with the combined being another option but getting to a light-only alarm was proving buggy. It is difficult to set a light-only alarm. So, for the two to better communicate, we are adding an additional pogo-pin connector between them. We noticed some static and interference when HyperCube was playing the built-in sleep sounds via the speaker base. So, instead of scrolling through different volumes and sound options, we have separated the control buttons for sound type and the volume. Adjusting sleep sounds volume is difficult. These are completed and ready to go!Īll that said, after using HyperCube in its “natural habitat” for an extended period, we did find a few bugs: The 60W PD adapter that comes with HyperCube is lightweight and powerful (and almost identical to the one that comes with a MacBook and Apple retails for $70). We have to make a small change to the indicator LED but this is 99% complete and we’re also moving it into production. It has both wired and wireless charging ability and you can control it remotely by simply tapping the light panel on the HyperCube. ![]() The external LED light panel also works great. So, we’re really excited to finally be able to tell our manufacturing partners that “it’s approved for production!”. In the end, we spent a lot of time and money getting this to a place that we’re happy with. We did not anticipate that the speaker component would be so hands-on. With four drivers, one in each corner, the sound is rich and well-rounded. ![]() For a power bank over 20,000mAh, we haven’t seen many that charge as quickly or charge devices as quickly as THE POWER CUBE. They have been thoroughly tested, we’ve received all the certifications and the products are finished. Here is another video showcasing the modularity. and there is something really satisfying about folding up HyperCube into the travel stack. The overall user experience is intuitive and interesting. We have a patent-pending for this novel, unique technology and you won’t find another wireless charger on the market with a versatile mechanical design. Overall, the folding/modular design is fun to use and it functions great - better even than we expected when we launched this product. We’ve charged all manner of phones, all series of Apple Watch and the new Airpods 2, all without any issues. The temperature is low and steady, the charging times are good and it works with every device we have tried. It works perfectly in any alignment: flat, cube, and on the speaker base. ![]() Well, using it every day as part of a daily routine made us realize a few things: We know what you’re thinking… “what’s the status?!?!” The final will be a lot cleaner - but, even in its current form, it’s a showstopper. We have made some adjustments to these samples by hand, so you may notice a couple of small blemishes (such as the lights not being perfectly aligned on the digital display and uneven holes where we changed the shape of the pogo pins from round to rectangular).
